Packaging is the technique of protecting the product for distribution, storage or sale within a state or all across the globe. Packaging means a lot more than just a pretty face of the product. However, cardboard Cake boxes packaging can be defined as the wrapping material around a consumer product for preservation, protection, and identification.  When it comes to the packaging boxes, there are a variety of packaging boxes available in the market.

Types of packaging boxes:

In the world of packaging, people often get confused about the different kinds of packaging boxes and their uses. When it comes to distributing different types of products you obviously need separate packaging box according to that specific product need. But if we try to narrow it down the kinds of packaging boxes, we can say that there are five basic kinds of Cardboard Cake boxes packaging:

  1. Aseptic Packaging: This type of packaging is mostly used for liquid products like milk and juices and cakes etc. these cartons are made by using polyethylene-coated liquid packaging board and sometimes foil laminate. This type of packaging if filed with sterile products in a controlled and sterile environment.
  2. Gable top Packaging: It is a box type of container often used for food products. Like a Dunkin Donut Box, cake box or McDonald's happy meal box. It is made from cardboard and mostly found in the shape of gable; square in the bottom with a triangular top. Gable packaging can be found in every way and size even milk and juice carton can be found in gable shaped packaging.

  1. Blister Packaging: A slight bubble or dome of semi-rigid plastic is attached to paperboard or another piece of plastic to form a package. This kind of packaging is commonly used to pack and preserve pharmaceutical products like medicines and tablets etc.
  2. Contour (skin) Packaging: The kind of wrapping is used for irregularly shaped objects with flexible plastic to a paperboard base. Frozen foods and raw meat items are wrapped in this way. The product is airtight which results in the flexible plastic cling tightly to all parts of the packaged item.
  3. Folding cartons: This includes paperboard cartons or boxes. These are the most common type of packaging we can find in retail stores. Most of the consumer goods come in the folding package and these are also used in primary packaging.
  4. Rigid boxes or packages: These types of tables are more studier and do not fold or collapse easily like folding cartons. They are used in the packaging of the expensive and higher-end products which value is perceived important. They can also be used to support the product within them.
  5. Corrugated Boxes: These boxes are commonly referred to the brown cardboard boxes. In packaging world, such tables are called shipping boxes and mostly used to ship consumer products within or between the states.

From temporary to permanent use, different shapes and sizes of boxes are made from durable materials like wood and non-durable materials like fibreboard or paperboard you name it and physical and internet market are flooded with all types of packaging boxes.
